Turkey supplies relief items to NDMA to pawn locust attacks in Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD:  Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) handed over the latest technology ULV vehicle-mounted and man-mounted machines along with pesticides to National Disaster and Management Authority (NDMA), Pakistan to fight against locust attacks in Pakistan.

 

These Relief supplies include 5 vehicles, spray machines and 1,000 liters of locust killer spray for locust heart eradication. The event was attended by Federal Minister for Food Security,Syed Fakhar Imam, Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz  and Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul.

 

Minister for Food Security and Research Mr.Syed Fakhar Imam thanked the Turkish government and the Turkish nation for this generosity. He said that the Pakistani government is working for modernizing the agriculture sector in the country and these machines will upgrade the agricultural technology

 

 Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz thanked Turkey for its timely assistance, and the coordination of NDMA and National Food and Security which made possible the eradication of locust heart in Pakistan.
