MECCA: The Saudi government is planning to introduce a system of certification for all countries that will allow pilgrims to confirm whether they have received both doses of the corona vaccine or not?

Therefore, only those pilgrims who have been given both doses of the corona vaccine will be allowed to go to Makkah and Madina for Hajj and Umrah.

During a panel discussion of the Hope Consortium in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, Dr. Hani Jokdar, Under Secretary, Public Health, Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia, said that Saudi Arabia is preparing for Hajj and Umrah this year and that Saudi officials want to introduce a verification code to prove that pilgrims have been vaccinated against corona.

"We urge all countries to introduce a verification process that is easy to read at Saudi Arabia's borders," he added. So, in this way only those who have been vaccinated can easily enter the country and perform Hajj or Umrah.

Speaking on the occasion, referring to Saudi Arabia's fight against corona, he said that Saudi Arabia was providing free Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines to residents and citizens over the age of 16, while Saudi Arabia currently administers 150,000 doses of corona vaccine on a daily basis.
